Keep your escape routes lit
Emergency lighting must work when the normal supply fails. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire-safety equipment, and BS 5266 sets out the routine monthly functional checks and the annual full-duration test. This package covers the annual test for smaller premises.
- Full-rated-duration (typically 3-hour) discharge test
- Covers up to 30 emergency luminaires and exit signs
- Functional checks, visual inspection and log-book entries
- Certificate and defects list with fixed-price repair quote
- Out-of-hours testing so the building is never left unprotected during occupancy
Good to know
Because batteries need time to recharge after a full-duration test, we schedule the test when the building is unoccupied or when risk is controlled, and we advise on recharge periods. Monthly functional (“flick”) tests can be carried out by your own trained staff — we will show you how and provide log-book guidance. Read our emergency lighting testing guide.
