Careers at JKS London

Electrician jobs and apprenticeships with a team that invests in you

At JKS London we believe great work comes from people who are well trained, well supported and proud of what they do.

Since 2004 we have built a reputation for electrical, mechanical and building services across London and the South East — from airport kitchens and retirement villages to hospitals, offices and public buildings. That reputation rests on our people, and we invest in them accordingly.

In early 2020 our staff retention stood at 99%. People join us, learn, progress and stay — and many of our engineers started their careers through our apprentice programme.

Apprenticeships

Our electrical apprentice programme

We run an extensive apprentice programme because we believe in growing our own talent and giving young people a genuine start in a skilled trade. Apprentices work alongside experienced, qualified engineers on real projects while studying for their qualifications at college.

  • Paid, on-the-job learning with day release or block release to college
  • Supervised experience across testing, maintenance and installation work
  • Exposure to different environments — commercial, public sector, airports and retirement living
  • Support through to the end-point assessment and qualified electrician status
  • A clear route to further qualifications once you qualify

Our support for The Skills Pledge reflects the same commitment: helping every member of the team develop their skills and gain recognised qualifications.

Who we look for

What makes a great JKS engineer

Technical skill matters, but so does how you work. Our engineers are often the face of JKS London in a client’s building — in an airport kitchen during service, in a resident’s home or in a busy hospital corridor.

  • Pride in neat, well-documented work that meets BS 7671
  • Clear, courteous communication with clients, residents and the public
